Leslie "Les" Sheard is an English former rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1970s, and coach of the 1980s, who at club level has played rugby union (RU) for Wakefield RFC,[1] and at representative level has played rugby league (RL) for England, and at club level for Castleford, and Wakefield Trinity, playing at Fullback, or Centre, i.e. number 1, or, 2 or 5, and at club level has coached for Huddersfield.

Les Sheard won a cap for England (RL) while at Wakefield Trinity in 1975 against Wales.[2]
Les Sheard played Fullback, i.e. number 1 in Wakefield Trinity's 3-12 defeat to Widnes in the 1978–79 Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium on 5 May 1979.[3]
